Happy New year and Cover Reveal

Hello and happy New Year everyone!

Cover for GRAVE WAR by Kalayna Price2019 saw the release of the sixth book in the Alex Craft novels, Grave Destiny, and I turned in the final book in the series, GRAVE WAR. This was an unexpectedly emotional event. While I've written "the end" on nearly a dozen books, this was my first time ending a series. This book marks the end to the Alex's story, and while I hope that I can write in Alex's world again (I'd love to continue to explore Briar's story, and I have a short story planned for Rianna) this is the last book that will be from Alex's perspective. This was a pretty big thing for me. The book is not completely finished--I will have a pass of revisions and copy edits and such, but unless my editor hates the book, it is more or less the story that you will see when it hits shelves. It was a hard book to write, but I think the outcome was worth it and I can't wait until I can share more with you.

So what does 2020 hold in store for me? I'm not sure yet. I know I plan to re-write Third Blood (finally. I got rather discouraged after discovering the original draft was lost, but I'm ready to jump back into it, rewrite from scratch, and hope to have positive information for you soon.) I also plan to write a short story about Rianna and Desmond. Other than that though . . . I don't know yet. I have a couple ideas for new books in new worlds, so we will have to wait and see.

How was your 2019? Any big plans for 2020?

Oh my gosh, YAY! I can't wait to read it. 2020 plans for me are to publish my women's fiction book and rewrite book 1/write book 2 of my contemporary fantasy series.

Sad to see the series end but I'm glad you get to wrap it up your way. Also happy to hear I will finally get to read Third Blood! I have been waiting for that one. Love that series so much, sucks so bad you lost the original draft. I've been there. Back in the floppy disk days I had a manuscript saved on a disk. Somehow the entire disk got wiped clean. Totally blank and my computer died. So I lost both the original and the back up. :-(

It's so bittersweet to know Grave War will be the last book in the series. I've absolutely loved Alex's story and have read the books *at least* twice. Can't wait to see what happens next. Thank you for great books!

When will Grave War be available for pre-order and will it be available on all venues (nook, amazon, google play)?

Seconds ago, I literally just finished up Twice Dead, so I popped on your page to see if there was a status update for the third book. I’m excited to hear that you plan on working on the next book, and I love Alex Craft series! Sorry to see it come to an end! Thank you for the great stories!
Oh my goodness! I'm excited to hear that you'll be giving Third Blood a go! I've been dying for that book for ages and was fearful I would be adding it to my list of series never to be finished. Once Bitten and Twice Dead were among the first books I ever reviewed on my blog which started in 2009. I'm also ecstatic for the final book in Alex's series! This has been a fun series for me too! Cannot wait to read both of these books now!

OH, I have been waiting for the book. It is somehow sad to see all end. Alex Croft is my second all time hero (the first is Buffy, but... I am Buffy Academic, thus...)
I believe Alex to be the best Urban Fantasy, only ex-equo with Sara Wilde (Jenn Stark's Immortal Vegas Series, which I ARC). I hope, beyond hope, we see Alex again, it will very hard to let her go. How does the saying goes "Death always win at the end"? We will see...
greetings

Your style of writing has very much appealed to me, I thoroughly enjoyed the depth of the world you created in which Alex existed. The characters were fully fleshed out - believable so it was so easy that I fell in love with these books. I have read & re-read them so many times, when I do it’s like going to visit an old friend. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story ends with Grave War and how the characters stories end. Good luck with your future endeavours!
