KICKING IT -- RUBY RED: A Case from the Darque Files


Sorry for the long silence everyone. I hope to have an update for you soon. In the mean time, I wrote a short story that is set in the Alex Craft world and will be hitting shelves tomorrow in the anthology  KICKING IT.

 My story in KICKING IT is called RUBY RED and follows Briar Darque on a case. It doesn't relate directly to Alex's tale, but timeline-wise, it falls between Grave Dance and Grave Memory.

This anthology is packed full of great stories from authors I'm sure you know well, including Rachel Caine, Chloe Neill, and Faith Hunter. I'm super thrilled to have been involved with the project and I hope that you'll check it out. It will hit stores everywhere tomorrow,  December 3rd.

Waiting to see more Alex Craft. Yet the best stories. Usually come, when the author is enjoying themselves while writing.

I just received the 3 Alex Craft books for christmas. I am hooked. I love the stories and will be looking for the Haven series book :o)

I really hope you continue the Haven seris. It is very well written and keeps the reader captivated. Please stay updated on your blog more often, especially if you have discontinued any seris.

Hi..... I love your Haven books (all two of them so far, still waiting on the third, .... i dont like the alex craft series nearly as much though fyi... ) but anyway i am wondering why it has been SO long since you posted anything and if you are ok or if something happened like an injury or illness by the sounds of your previous posts.... IF anything is wrong in your life i do hope that it gets better soon and i'm not saying that only because I want you to write more Haven novels lol.... You created an incredible and unique world in the Haven series and clearly are an artist who should be treasured and valued, you dont just create a single scene on canvas or a series of immages and stuff as a movie but you manage to create worlds that can come alive all on their own in your readers minds which takes so much more skill in finding just the right words to convey the concept and mental image that you want. The world needs to take care of its true treasures like you...

What's Next?

A lot of people are writing to ask if Grave Destiny is the final book in the series. I'm very happy to report that no, this is not the end! Ace has contracted one final Alex Craft novel so that I can finish up the story. I'm currently writing the first draft, and while it has a tentative title, I'm not free to share it quite yet. I'll be turning in the 7th Alex Craft novel this September, so I anticipate it will be released late 2020 or early 2021 but will update you when I have more information. So, for those of you worried that this might be the end, worry not. There is more. I hope you are enjoying Grave Destiny!
