NaNo Day 3: It's a plot!

It's day three of NaNo, I'm almost 10% of the way through my word count, and I have now, finally, discovered my plot!

It's not a complete plot. It's more of a glimmer. A direction. But I'm happy to have it. (That pantzing thing is hard and totally not for me.) So, I am very excited today because I know where my shiny is going (and it's going great places!)

Obviously it is sill early in the day and there are many more productive writing hours to come, but I'll go ahead and splash up my word meter.

4476 / 50000 words. 9% done!

I have hooping tonight. Then I will buckle back in and take this shiny new plot idea for a ride. How is day three treating everyone else? Anyone discover something new about their story today?

i've got 1,930 words as of today.i started out writing like crazy because the words just kept coming but then i had to stop because i'd lost the spark but at least i got more done and i passed the "daily goal" of 1,667 words. So my grand total is 11,868/50,000 words! and the story is getting more and more interesting!WOOOHOOO!

I'm only sitting at 6166. And I'm definitely much done for the day. I do well early on and if I have time in the evenings, I do some world building or character stuff but the words don't seem to flow as well later in the day when there are more distractions.

Today I filled in the missing scene from the beginning. I feel like I know a lot more about the character now and that made the rest of the day's writing go more smoothly.

I really am falling in love with yWriter. it let me go back and add in a scene without the temptation to edit other scenes since I couldn't actually see them without opening them.

4,740 words. Good progress. The reveal filled a lot, and a lot more dialogue than I'm used to (likely a good thing). Still behind the personal goal of 2k a day, but getting into the swing of things better.

Alright, whew, what a night! Got in three good word wars and one not so great, but I've gotta say, I am a huge fan of the Write or Die now. It boosted my productivity by leaps and bounds and helped me put that pesky inner editor behind bars! My characters keep rewriting the scene list that I so meticulously wrote out before NaNo *grumbles* but they know best I suppose. Got 1,978 done tonight so far and still writing! 3,190/50,000

Kailia - I haven't had any trouble with yWriter and I've had it installed for 3 months now. It's free and easy to use. There are some features that I don't use. I run it from a flash drive so I can use the same one on my desktop and my laptop...

Kitt - I'm also a fan of Write or Die. When I'm stuck it gets me moving again.

day four! argh! At the moment i still have over 11,000 words but I think for the next two days i should concentrate on my school work mainly my French work. I think i can not write my story for like two days, right? Cuz i can NOT fail any class this year in 9th.
Ginger-- thanks, i'll get it today and i'm in love with Write or Die too!

Congrats everyone! You are all doing awesome.

I've never tried yWriterly. I might have to look into it. Currently I use Scrivener, and I seriously love it. I also use Write or Die to up my productivity. As it advertises, it is an amazing 'prodding' tool.
