I'm talking about myself!

Today I'm being interviewed over at My Bookish Ways Blog. There is a giveaway for Grave Witch, so if you haven't heard me talk about myself and my books enough yet, please go check it out!

Deadlines are closing in again and at the same time spring has hit my sunny town in the Carolinas. I'm spending most of my time with my laptop pounding out words. My limited spare time I'm devoting to my garden while the weather is still beautiful. (It's in the high seventies and mid eighties now, but spring is a short season here and summer will hit with high nineties and heat indexes over a hundred soon, so I'm enjoying the good gardening weather while it lasts.) Because of those reasons, (though the former more than the latter) my blogging schedule will be rather erratic over the next few weeks. I'll try to have a substantial post at least once a week, so if there are any topics you guys want me to blog about, please let me know in the comments. I'm not sure what my reader demographics are these days. For a while most of my active commenters were writers and aspiring writers but I'm not sure that is still the case.

So my questions to you are what kind of blogs do you read and what types of posts do you you prefer? Do you like writing craft posts? Do you want behind the scenes type stuff about my writing or about the books? Do you mostly stop by blogs to find out the newest information about book releases/excerpts/covers? Do you like the author chat videos? Do you read many blogs? How often do you check those blogs?

Thanks everyone!

Honestly, I read blogs regarding book releases. To answer the last two questions: I only read up to two or three blogs and I check 'em out here and there.

:) How's that?

I read healthy living blogs, house design blogs, and now organization blogs. I have a friend that feeds them to me.

I occasionally read reviewer blogs but I mainly follow author blogs (I have an account on goodreads that allows me to do that.). I don't mind different type of posts. The newest information is just a bonus :P

I think that I follow about 10 author blogs and am signed up to about 5 newsletters.

I usually check blogs when I come home from work as a way to de-stress.

Okay, this is going to sound *really* dumb and I know I'm probably in the minority's minority, but I've love to see a picture of your garden on your blog. I only say that because I've been thinking about staring one myself. ;-)

Most of the blogs that I follow are from authors so I can keep up with new book releases, but I also like hearing about the writing process (even though I'm not a writer). The other blogs I follow are related to special education since I work with students with disabilities. So, I read blogs for personal and professional reasons. I check the blogs I follow a couple times per week using Google Reader.

I only really read this blog, and one other. This one to keep up on what you are doing and any other interesting things you post. I have even gone and found the books you have mentioned wanting to read or have read. The other blog I read is one my sister writes about how my nephew and now my niece have been up to. They live in SA.

I read author blogs because I like to get some insight into the person behind the stories I love. I'm fascinated by the creative process, especially as while each writer works differently, there are also many similarities. I also, voyeuristically I suppose, like to see the everyday life drama that happens around the writing process. Perhaps to see how that might color your writing, but perhaps, just a little, to show that even people with regular lives can craft amazing stories that touch so many people.
